Rabun Seed Library
The Rabun County Seed Library provides a seasonal inventory of free seeds for the public. It is partnership of Headwaters Master Gardeners, UGA Cooperative Extension in Rabun County and the Rabun County Public Library.
Headwaters Master Gardeners took over maintenance of the Seed Library in 2025, making a commitment to keep the library stocked and to present regular gardening programs at the library. Volunteers gather several times a year to package and label seeds, and also solicit seed donations from local growers and businesses.
We work to preserve the area’s agricultural heritage by promoting the use of regionally adapted seed, building genetic diversity and strengthening food security through education and a culture of sharing.
